About the Activity
Mental health has become a critical global crisis. The causes of mental health problems are multiple and complex. The solution needs systematic transformation across social, cultural, scientific, and technological domains. Despite the existence of diverse efforts in various domains, there remains a significant gap in addressing mental health issues. The intersection of cultural, scientific, and technological disciplines presents a promising and necessary approach to mental health enhancement. The motivation behind starting this IC activity is the growing need to address mental health through a multidisciplinary approach that combines different perspectives.
Goals of the Activity
The goal is to enhance mental health through interdisciplinary integration by gaining insight into the potential causes of mental health problems, building consensus, and improving mental health. Leveraging the diverse expertise within our team, we’ve planned multiple interdisciplinary integrations. For example, mental health professionals from various hospitals will collaborate to optimize treatment strategies. Our architecture expert will design mental-health-friendly environments in our pilot projects.
We aim to build a platform or an integrated service system. This will be determined as the project progresses. Recommendations on standards opportunities may be another outcome, if appropriate based on the foundational report and pilot.
