Guide for Installation Methods for Fiber Optic Cables in Power Generating Stations and in Industrial Facilities
This guide is intended for fiber optic cables designed for use in power generating stations and industrial facilities, in both the outside plant environment and indoor applications--the latter with adequate consideration for requirements of the National Electrical Code (NEC). It is not the intention of this guide to establish requirements for cables designed for installation in a high voltage environment, such as optical ground wire and all-dielectric, self-supporting. These applications are covered by other IEEE documents (IEEE Std 1138(TM) and IEEE Std 1222(TM)).
Standards approved by the IEEE SA Standards Board that are within the 10-year lifecycle.
No Active Standards
These standards have been replaced with a revised version of the standard, or by a compilation of the original active standard and all its existing amendments, corrigenda, and errata.
No Superseded Standards
These standards have been removed from active status through a ballot where the standard is made inactive as a consensus decision of a balloting group.
No Inactive-Withdrawn Standards
These standards are removed from active status through an administrative process for standards that have not undergone a revision process within 10 years.
No Inactive-Reserved Standards
